Carel’s control solutions

Image
Control solutions for chillers Standard application software for managing air/water or water/water chillers, with tandem scroll compressors, semi-hermetic compressors or screw compressors featuring continuous or staged capacity control. The maximum configuration includes 8 hermetic or semi-hermetic compressors, or 2 screw compressors for each unit, with a limit of 4 units. Based on the type of compressors, pCO¹ , pCO² , pCO³ or pCO⁵ can be used to create the best configuration. The condenser fans can also be managed, with stepped or modulating control, using the Carel FCS . As well as connection to the most commonly used BMS , SMS (text) messages can also be sent and received via a GSM modem to and from mobile phone devices. Control solutions for precision air-condensers: standard application software for managing air-conditioning units, either direct expansion or with water coils, including control of the condenser, a built-in or external humidifier and electronic expansion valve...

1tool

Image
1tool is the development system for the Carel programmable control platform, consisting of six different environments in which the designer manages the application software in all its different stages: from design to simulation, to testing and debugging, to arrive at commissioning in the field. A fundamental feature of 1tool is integration. Because all the different environments are interconnected to best support development of the application software. Each environment is in fact dedicated to the realisation of a specific function and interacts with the others to offer the designer: -  Greater reliability thanks to real-time error notifications in the design stage; - Reduced development time using the advanced functions offered, first and foremost the new libraries of functional modules specific for HVAC/R; -  Flexibility in terms of software customisation. All these features, an intuitive graphic interface and user simplicity make 1tool an excellent product, respond...

Programmable Controller

Image
CAREL released its first programmable controller over twenty five years ago, and today has the widest range available in the sector.   pCO sistema represents CAREL’s response to the demand for controllers with programmable logic for HVACR applications. Reduced assembly and wiring times (DIN rail mounting);   Real time management of the fastest transients, using powerful microprocessors ; Possibility to save events (alarms, temperature, pressure,…) even for extended periods, in the flash memory; Flexible and customizable appearance; Simple connection to more commonly used communication standards using the resident multi-protocol software; Considerable flexibility in defining the functions and algorithms, using the 1tool development package.   All easily interfaced to the most widely-used Build Management Systems , or integrated into the property supervisory system.

The ExVLab

Image
After Carel's great success with the ExV Electronic Expansion Valve w e hereby wish to inform you that the new CAREL valve selection tool, ExVLab, is now available on the KSA. Entirely done online and with no need to download and install any software, this easy to use instrument guides you through the selection of the appropriate ExV for your application by simply inserting the main parameters of interest (refrigerant, cooling capacity, condenser temperature etc..). The new tool is a web application accessible from PCs and mobile devices, at the following link:   https://exvselectiontool.carel.com/ExVLab/ , currently available for Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer 10.

Temperature, humidity and pressure controls solutions

Image
i-A.C.Systems , as Carel's VAR (Value Added Reseller), offers increasingly advanced control solutions in the field of parametric controllers for HVAC/R applications. Specific commitment is dedicated to universal controllers , which provide the user a powerful and flexible instrument that can easily be configured. Starting from extremely simple control strategies the user can, by modifying just a few parameters, adopt control algorithms that are much more sophisticated and innovative, for example PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) with AutoTuning. The comtool software can be used to configure the parameters on the controllers directly from a personal computer. Simple installation is also an important factor, both as regards assembly and wiring, using standard templates and quick connectors. Finally, all universal controllers can interface with CAREL supervisory systems and open supervisory systems.

The New Generation of IR33

Image
After the great success of the IR32 controllers, Carel offers a new generation for refrigeration controls. With the new IR33 , Carel now offers: infrared remote controller programming key High performance green display Led RS485 serial board And all of this, keeping the same dimensions as the ir32! The ir33 also manages smart defrost, resulting in great energy savings for the entire insallation. This controller now automatically manages the monitoring of the unit, highlighting any critical situation. It warns when the alarm exceeds its limits, saving the main information to a permanent memory.

The Masteraria AHU controls on the Wellington Arch

Image
The Masteraria Control panel for AHUs installations are spreading out across the UK territory on very prestigious building sites. The latest installation last month has been on the Wellington Arch , in the heart of London, right next to the Royal Palace. The Carel Electrical panel, equipped with a PCO3 controller ,  manages the thermo-higrometric conditions in the building guaranteeing a precision control. The dampers, Heating coils, the DX condensing units, are controlled by Masteraria panel making sure that the overall running efficiency of the AHU package it's at its best.  Thanks to the 3 embedded comms ports of the PCO3 controller and the hi-tech MODBUS integrated Inverter (VFD) management of the new AHUE software, the Masteraria panel monitors the fan speed and airflow through a Modbus interface link, making available the inverter references straight from the semi-graphical, intuitive and user fridley display of the AHU controls. ...
