IR/DN33 Universal Thermostat

Image
This series of “ universal ” thermostats can connect two temperature probes (NTC, PTC, PT1000). The second probe can be used for a second control loop, independent from the first, or alternatively for temperature compensation (summer or heating), differential operation (difference between the two temperatures), or free cooling. They feature two digital inputs that can be configured to manage functions such as an immediate external or delayed alarm, and remote ON/OFF. Programming is made extremely simple by the 9 selectable operating models (e.g.: direct, reverse, neutral zone, PWM, etc.). All controllers feature a PID algorithm with AutoTuning and some versions are available with RTC (real time clock). A low consumption switching power supply is used on both the 12/24 Vac/Vdc and 115/230 Vac versions.

Catering and hot display cases

Carel offers a series of solutions for hot display cases (bain marie), retarders and blast chillers characterized by a complete line of user terminals. The complete version including a graphic display is capable of meeting the needs of the most discriminating users who are always looking for innovative solutions. The wide range of products available satisfies all requirements, ensuring a properly stored and high quality product to the final user. HACCP management is built-in to the latest generation instruments. This ensures temperature control of the food products stored, in compliance with the HACCP system. Parameters are set directly by the instrument. It is possible to set time and temperature limits required by food storage regulations. The controller automatically monitors the unit, highlighting any critical situations. The standard program allows the complete management of the retarder or blast chiller unit, setting operating cycles, times and variable temperature and

The Chiller Control Units

Image
The chiller control unit is the most important and complex electromechanical organ in the chiller system. It generates the cold temperatures for all of the connected chiller utilities and processing rooms. The CAREL retail system was designed to meet all the builder’s needs and to provide the OEM and installers with the best response to their design efforts and to maximize results. From simple hermetic compressors in limited numbers or in large racks, to semi-hermetic and hermetic ones that can be partialised or controlled in frequency. In terms of energy savings, the chiller control unit allows wide maneuvering margins with its considerable installed power. All of our solutions were designed with the utmost attention to this aspect. The use of E2V electronic expansion valves along with the power of the electronic controls allow the energy balance to be maximized. Carel offers two platforms for managing chiller control units: µ Rack   and pRack. The µ Ra

The New Globe Valve Actuators. Intuitive, Versatile and Safe

Image
Belimo is pleased to announce the introduction in its range of a new power spectrum of 500 to 4500 N   and nominal strokes of 15 … 40mm. The compact design allows for simple connection of the actuators to globe valves apart from installation in stationary heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in narrow spaces. With a simple and clever concept, this globe valve actuator i suitable for a wide range of applications. Control Method:   3- point (AC/DC 24 V, AC 230 V) modulating DC 0.5...10 V modulating DC 2...10 V multifunctional (modulating, parameters can be set) MP bus (modulating, communicative) LON bus MOD bus Connection technologies: IP54 terminals with 1 m cable (standard) 1 m connection (optional) IP54 terminals (optional) Individual variants of globe valve actuators, including minimal quantities, can be prepared and produced beyond the standard product range by using the variant configurator. The electrical connection, programmin

Cold Rooms for food storage

Image
Food storage uses various procedures that vary based on duration: Refrigeration, if the food must be stored for a short period of time (0…7 ° C). Freezing, deep freezing and lyophilisation (freeze drying) if it must be stored for long periods. When deep freezing the product it must reach a temperature of -18 ° C in less than 4 hours while for regular freezing the product can take more than 4 hours to reach -18 ° C. During lyophilisation the product is dried following a forced evaporation of the water component of the product. In the food industry, refrigeration is one of the most delicate and complex applications because food requires treatment at different temperatures depending upon the processing phase. Refrigeration slows the growth of bacteria on food. The technique is based on the extremely quick and intense action performed by the cold temperature that allows the organoleptic qualities of the food to be kept intact, prolonging storage time.
